ON THE ROAD W/ THE QUIREBOYS: Great footage and sound for the exception of a few digital artifacts from the lighting, but great nonetheless and complete with a bit of commentary from Spike on how he’s not drinking any more..you believed that right?? Filmed from the latest Quireboys show at the Rescue Rooms in Nottingham 12th March. Special thanks to Robert Shaw on YTB for the upload and keeping everyone on the road with The Quireboys who couldn’t be there. RAW, ROUGH AND BRILLIANT IN 1988/89: Ever wish you could say..”I saw The Quireboys before they went big..before they recorded all their albums and before they had been playing and recording for 30 years!”? Well, here’s your chance. Here’s a 47 minute VHS rescued gem from a show back in 1988/89 recorded at a pub in the U.K. (thanks to Michael Max John Wormald) just prior to the release of their debut album “A Bit Of What You Fancy”. Band members were Spike, Nigel Mogg, Guy Bailey, Ginger, Chris Johnstone and Nick Connell. The songs are in the raw…rough…brilliant!! Enjoy.
